It’s been a strange and challenging year for us all to say the least, and it’s hard to believe we’re already dusting off our coats and packing school lunchboxes again for the start of term – albeit a slightly different one this year. Whether you’re back in the office or still working from home, we’ve got some truly exciting features in this release to put some sunshine back into those increasingly drizzly autumn mornings.
Ever wished that you could create a whole range of lessons, modules and resources for your learners to access in a course within your LMS? What if your learners could filter through a structured taxonomy to find exactly the lessons they need, right when they need it?
Say hello to our ‘Courses’ feature, complete with cataloguing ability.
It’s about keeping things organised yet engaging with a plethora of compelling course content your learners will want to return to.
What’s new?
Course authoring within the platform
Staying organised is key to successful learning. There’s nothing that will put your learners off more than having to spend hours trawling through colossal amounts of content trying to work out what they need to be looking at and what’s relevant to their studies.
Which is why, in this release, we can’t wait to introduce you to our ‘Courses’ app – here to facilitate learning that’s organised, accessible and available right when your learners need it.
Not only does it facilitate timely delivery of relevant resources and activities, but it also supports preparation for training sessions and helps structure planning for assessment. It can be used to bring together resources and playlists from the platform, or even to embed web content to create a full course on a chosen topic.
It’s the perfect way to provide a sense of direction while still supporting those individual modern learning journeys.
Easy creation of course taxonomies
It’s good to have a range of courses available to support your learners. However, without filters in place, having to sift through a full list of units, modules and lessons can end up frustrating.
This is why, with this release, we’re bringing you the ability to catalogue your courses into a clear taxonomy. This allows users to filter to exactly the course they need at the click of a button.
It’s all about keeping your content organised and relevant so that everybody knows exactly where they are and what needs to be done. Each learner will see a personalised list of lessons to complete in their ‘Things I Need to Do’ panel, making it easy to click the assigned lesson and get straight back to learning.
